Within the aesthetic and functional transformation of the contemporary retail spaces marble is an absolute protagonist that properly conveys the identity of a luxury brand. The recently inaugurated Billionaire Couture tailor house in Amsterdam’s PC Hoofstraat is an example of a privileged location for businessmen and international jet-setters.

Claudio Pironi, architect renowned for his luxury retail projects, designed the interiors of the new store: “The store is characterized by dark spaces, light is uniquely focused on the product and projected in a vertical line. The atmosphere is private and exclusive”, he says about his concept for Billionaire. “The environment is conceived as a series of emotions shaped by materials and geometry, so that the visitor can get a sort of harmony, a play of volumes inspired by the classic Greek tragedy”.

The spaces are shaped by a system of iron frames with black chromed finishing, containing hangers and shelves. On the walls, there are vast surfaces in Grigio Portaluppi marble, a material that is exclusively worked and supplied by Pibamarmi, book-matched to create sophisticated oblique veins. The same marble, but with a polished finishing, covers floors and some design elements, in an opulent ensemble enriched by tinted mirrors and details in brushed brass.
